We had a great time, but of course eventually it’s time to go home. Here we hang out a little more with the Tans before making our way to the gate. | Leaving in the wee hours of the morning, the airport is still sleepy while we wait to get on our plane | Innaias enjoys the juice as we wait for boarding | The lounge also had muffins and some decent finger sandwiches | Our plane awaits | In Narita, when we boarded the plane the pilots invited us up front to check out the cockpit |
Who could pass up an offer like that? | The pilots were generous with their time and even let the kids fiddle (under specific direction) with some of the less-dangerous knobs ☺ | I have heard that in days long ago, one could sometimes get an in-flight cockpit tour during a quiet moment of a longer flight | As part of the visit, the pilots handed out information cards describing the jet we were traveling on that leg | A careful observer will notice from the lack of a center control column that the flight between Narita to Seattle is on an Airbus | We arranged a limo for the ride from the airport to home. Our driver wore a cowboy hat. |
